I figured I should start a new topic for the 56's. Thanks to Hillbilly Les and the power of Ms Hillbilly Les i am now the proud owner of two 1956 chev trucks. the 235 was stuck. note i said WAS. all freed up now and the long lost mice out of the valve cover. fresh oil in'er and gas down the carb the old girl fired up!!! :clap: a little tuning and she purred like a kittin. the mice werent really lost the shot out the tail pipe. lol holds good oil pressure too. so i dump the clutch and chirped the tire and off i went. tomorrow smokies for sure!!!

well it laied a few ten footers today and the naighbor came over...... not so good. turns out that the reason our yard is lady (my dog) poop free is becuase she pooops on their front step once some times twice a day. "good girl" lol he was not too happy. but i laied one more patch and put it away for the day. lookin for a 88-98 chev 1/2 ton 2wd frame to set the motor in and the body on.

A. stock frame and Z it with disk king pin.
B. stock frame and put mustang 2 IFS in it.
c. newer chevy truck frame.

I got it get 4 snowplow hydraulic rams one for each corner and a pump which by the way I saw some Guy convert a powersteering pump to work but anyways then bam instant hydros that would be sweet

body back set on for mock up, shorttened the box 12 inches, still alittle tall but it will sink some with a motor trans and doors and all the rest of the stuff its missing yet.
finished plating for now. pretty easy swap.

cut the heck out of the box today.... shortened 12'' in the front and 7'' in the rear......
gets shorter and running boardes get shorttened 12'' as well.
box done..
And back on the truck......
seats and stearing mocked up and working...
over all 19'' taken out of the box. and done so thit looks mostlly stock but a few tack welds.. saving the original paint... :thumbs:

box is done just needs lights and a bumper. tail gate is vary poor condition but it will work for now....

yep ALL. ;) picked up this fine doner truck and stripped all the goodies of it. padle assy, master/booster, steering<wheel to gear box>, and many other lil important parts oh,... and a sweet 2wd 5 speed. :thumbs:
huge step for me and the truck. 56 got glass!!!!!! installed by me. :thumbs: went much better then my 55 if ya all remember how that tunned out. not so good. but used old glass from parts truck and new LMC gasket and it fill in.

sold my 53 5 window on Friday and got an offer of $3000,00 for the 56 ? as is. it might be going bye bye.. other wise it s hangin out waiting to be worked on..
