I've got a few ideas for mine that I'll for sure need help with.  Popping out the two back side windows, tin-ing over those to make it a panel wagon.  Then got an idea for a custom hood, made from 1 Taurus hood and one mid-90's Mustang GT hood.  Gonna be a subtle custom cowl job.

sounds pretty sweet.  it shouldn't be to hard to tin in the windows you can use the glass for templates for the tin. i like the idea for the hood too.

That's what I was thinking, for the windows at least.  On my current wagon, the window seals already seem loose, so I think it's just a matter of pushing on them hard enough from the inside and they'd come right out.  Then just trace 'em and do it up.

As far as the hood goes, that's a little tougher.  I think.  My vision is to take the Mustang hood and take a section out of the middle.  Cut two lines, remove the middle section, then push it back together and weld it back up.  Then I'd cut a channel out of the Taurus hood as wide as the leftover Mustang piece, and insert that.  Sounds easy, but I know it won't be.  One, I can't weld, two, it's never as easy as it seems.  Gotta get my hands on a Mustang hood, too.

This be the critter I'm after:

Or I dish out like 5 bills for one of these carbon fiber, ready to go cowls.  Looks pretty sweet, but dang, that's a lot of money.  That and I'm not a huge fan of carbon fiber when it's surrounded by painted body panels.  And it'd be cool to have a custom 1-off.

Buy a cowl like that and smooth the lines out with bondo. problem solved.

Gotta find the secret to making fiberglass stay stuck to metal.  The site that sells them cowls makes me a little hesitant to go that route.
