And not near as gay.
I think I have FINALLY found a wagon. (FREE)
I have a drawring @ work I've been working on for what I'd like it to look like.. WOOOOOT!
You have plenty of projects it looks like!
Can't you guys get real wagons already? At least two of us got it right.
Dreamers... :batman:
welcom dan the fab man
i LOVE wagons! i always wanted one but have not got one yet.... some day. but if you need a hand with yours let me know it might inspire me to get one. i wanna un-retro a magnum wagon, that would be pretty sweet i think just need to go to the action and get a crasher.
"dan the fab man" i like it! fabed up some stuff today for a old ford tractor and it was quite inpressive if i dont say. all the corn feed liked it at the shop.
darwings, lets take it off the paper and make it real!!! id love to see it!

I've got a few ideas for mine that I'll for sure need help with. Popping out the two back side windows, tin-ing over those to make it a panel wagon. Then got an idea for a custom hood, made from 1 Taurus hood and one mid-90's Mustang GT hood. Gonna be a subtle custom cowl job.
sounds pretty sweet. it shouldn't be to hard to tin in the windows you can use the glass for templates for the tin. i like the idea for the hood too.
its drawing fellas

That's what I was thinking, for the windows at least. On my current wagon, the window seals already seem loose, so I think it's just a matter of pushing on them hard enough from the inside and they'd come right out. Then just trace 'em and do it up.
As far as the hood goes, that's a little tougher. I think. My vision is to take the Mustang hood and take a section out of the middle. Cut two lines, remove the middle section, then push it back together and weld it back up. Then I'd cut a channel out of the Taurus hood as wide as the leftover Mustang piece, and insert that. Sounds easy, but I know it won't be. One, I can't weld, two, it's never as easy as it seems. Gotta get my hands on a Mustang hood, too.
This be the critter I'm after:
Or I dish out like 5 bills for one of these carbon fiber, ready to go cowls. Looks pretty sweet, but dang, that's a lot of money. That and I'm not a huge fan of carbon fiber when it's surrounded by painted body panels. And it'd be cool to have a custom 1-off.
Buy a cowl like that and smooth the lines out with bondo. problem solved.
Gotta find the secret to making fiberglass stay stuck to metal. The site that sells them cowls makes me a little hesitant to go that route.
Contact Mike Mason.
See the thunderbird and the truck... and anything else he's owened..
mustang hoods are fiberglass Chaunce, and thats messy!
Even the stock ones? I swear I've found a few on Craig's list listed as steel. Oh well. To Bad Bird I go...
Or to a real car. :(
as far as i know there fiberglass but there may be some metal ones
i think there all glass too
3M, SEM, and kent, make a panel and patch panel bond two part kit. it works great i've glued tons of quarters and door skins on and a lot of box sides. and a fiberglass firebird door skin, and repaired a corvette quarter. just make sure the extra glue that pushes out of the seams is ground off before you start laying bondo. had one bad experience, the glue reactivated the filler and swelled. and you could see the seam. nothin like learning the hard way and doing this twice.
aslo heard of guys using duraglass boby filler or kitty hair and adding resin to thin the filler and use it like a glue for bonding different materials together. never tried it tho.
So..., when can I come over? :help:
lol,
pretty much gonna be a 40 hr project yikes
40 hour???!!! more like ten min man. get the parts and we'll fab it up.
:P haha
Shwang dang! I gotta get the cowl and we'll be good to go. Got a Taurus sitting here with a solid hood that's ready for surgery. All I need now is a new wagon to put this thing on when we get it done.
sounds good man. ill get the saws-all wormed up and the beer on ice!
gaby wants a 5 window....... on trucks ''classix'' project they are gonna make the 49 into a 5 window. they sell a kit. but it cant be that hard. right??? Farm Country Customs ''we chop'm, and drop'm'' no worries guaranteed!
u can do it cut its  roof off
hey ferris give me a shout know where thers a couple 5 windows at and a couple of hillbilly questions 320492 4579
sorry hillbilly les i have not gave you a call yet. i landed a job back at my old shop  been turn'n wrenches all week, kinda like it but, can't wait to spray some paint i think i'm having withdrawlls. :'( or thats what im blaming my headaches on.
The withdrawls I bet is from the lack of paint fumes you're sniffing.
It's lke getting a headache after you quite drinking pop for a few days. Or after you stop smokin' crack!
I know from experience...
Hey when did u get on here? Thats a cool pic of your truck.

hey chaunsey pants :bash: :nutz: :thud:
You know I didn't mean it. 8) By my standards, you're halfway done with an art-yard. Just gotta haul in 500 loads of fill to soak up the swamp and we'll be good to go. Get that road paved. Ah, yeah!

might take a few more than 500.. Its a big swamp :help:
Yeah, you're right. Maybe we'll just have to stick to plan A. Buy the old Dodge dealership in Pine City and start the first ever paved junk jard. We can throw up some "overstock" racking with rollers on it, get some giant pallets, and store the cars 4-5 high. Take up way less ground space, and we can pull each one down whenever somebody wants parts. And we'll have a wicked service station for stripping them down.
Wouldn't need to buy 2 vehicles, just buy one (cheap), and there's a possibility of free membership - let's talk! ;)
Hmm. Which one for Toni then?
sorry I have been kinda lazy lately I have internet on my phone so I really dont have a excuse ???
ya once in a while life jist comes up and gets in yer face :S
ok sounds good hillbilly. i have your number, ill call you and we can make a time.

the 3rd one for sure
i agree #3 asawweeeeeettt
wow..... #3!!
thats what i'm thinkin ??? 3 is the look i wanna go for. i like the green too cuz i have a feeling its gonna take alot of my green to get it done. pretty sure im gonna stub it with a metric sub and bag it. maybe a 5.3 fuelly and o/d tranny. kinda like the old six banger tho, they sound kind cool too.
put it on a mid 90s frame and bag it that way than you get all the nice lookin comfortable suspension
that would probably work pretty good too. ??? time to get out the tape and get my measure on, the daily driver might get some new old tin!!! half the work is done,
Man. can't wait to see what becomes of them!!!
neither can i and the straight six is un-stuck and spins free as new. maybe by the week end ill get it fired up!!!
freakin sweet!!!! Figured it wouldn't take to much at all to free it. Thing is like brand spankin new. you should get a few miles outta her!
You already have that motor freed up?? WOW! get it started up!!!!!
i got it movin ten min after i was home. tranny fluid works everytime.
illl get it runnin and it will do a smoky before it comes apart. its the hillbilly way right?
Duh. Unless you've got a POS Taurus wagon that doesn't have enough balls to spin the tires... :'(

holy crap.. thats awesome!! What ya gonna do with that lil engine?
well if it hold up to some yard beating and tire burning it might get a twin carb set up and a split header and make some good old skool power and run it. "reto rods are cool, but they dont beat ols skool!!!"
