Hey, if you need a parts car for this thing I've got a super clean '99 that will most likely be going to the yard this spring/summer sometime.  I'm fairly positive it's a cam failure car but the tranny is still good.  Has 98k on it if I remember right.  I took the front seats and front bumper off, but otherwise it's still a complete car.  No title.

What color is the car?

I am now the owner of 2 Taurus SHOs now. My beloved Green 94 thats getting turbo this year, and now this.

I picked up a rusty 97 SHO with 181k for $700. Things it needed when i bought it-->  Passenger side rocker Is gone, transmission is a little iffy from 1-2 at lower rpm(already did trans filter/service), front rotors need to be replaced, RR caliper stuck (already got a new one), replaced one coil and all spark plugs, and radiator leaks (already got a replacement).. other than that it's a great car, happy with my purchase and its Alot more fun to drive than the impala and gets basically the same MPG.

This is not a Yamaha engine like my V6 SHO. This is a Ford/Cosworth block with Yamaha heads. Smallest american production V8 ever made 3.4L (207ci) DOHC 32v.
Its slower than my V6 because my V6 has amazing gear ratios because 5spd manual vs. 4spd auto.. But she still gets up and goes!!

Car Discussion / Operation TURBO SHO
February 05, 2014, 05:54:50 PM
Operation turbo SHO has begun! I'm just in the beginning stages of buying all the parts, but will keep you all posted. *Pics to come* :woot:

Got a free turbo from a friend, It's the low pressure turbo out of a 6.4L Powerstroke. People think i'm kidding about putting this on a 3.0L.. Watch me.
Limiting my power to roughly 320-350whp to prevent grenading 3rd gear (will probably happen at that power level anyways). That should be roughly 10psi on this turbo.

As some of you know, the Yamaha built V6 is a VERY strong powerplant. Back in 2002 SHOnut performance made 465whp on 17psi with a Vortech centrifugal supercharger WITH A JUNKYARD 3.0L all stock internals. Thats roughly 560hp at the crank. All i have to do is upgrade fuel system components and tune it (and all necessary turbo parts).

I will keep you all up to date. Should be done sometime by summer.
